Dr. Adam Barkey, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in child and adolescent psychology and the co-founder of Curect Neuropsychology of New York.
Dr. Barkey works to assess how families and other social dynamics such as school, the environment and mental illness influence the socio-emotional adjustment, cognitive development, behavioral adaptation
and health of children and teens. Dr. Barkey assesses and treats children with a wide range of biological, psychological and social problems. These can include biological vulnerabilities, emotional and developmental
problems, significant mental disorders, cognitive deficits, trauma and loss and health-related problems. Dr. Barkey also specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy for the treatment of depression, anxiety,
and is trained in trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy for PTSD. Dr. Barkey takes an individually-tailored and collaborative approach in his work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples.
Dr. Barkey received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychology from the University of Hartford. He completed numerous clinical externships in settings
including pediatric inpatient and outpatient units, therapeutic day schools and specialty placements for treating individuals with special needs. Dr. Barkey completed his predoctoral internship at The Clifford
Beers Clinic in New Haven, CT where he received specialized training through the Yale University Collaborative in the diagnosis and treatment of those who have experienced complex trauma. Dr. Barkey also completed
his postdoctoral fellowship at the Westchester Institute for Human Development where he gained additional experience in working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders as part of the Leadership Education
in Neurodevelopmental and related Disorders (LEND) program.
Dr. Elina Kugel, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in adult and pediatric neuropsychology and the co-founder of Curect Neuropsychology of New York Dr. Kugel specializes in neuropsychological
evaluation of individuals who suffer from a wide range of brain disorders, including Epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease/dementia, stroke and traumatic brain injury/concussions,
among other diagnoses. She tailors each evaluation to address the specific concerns and needs of each client. At the conclusion of testing, Dr. Kugel provides clients with a comprehensive written report detailing
cognitive, emotional and/or academic functioning. Each client also receives an extensive list of practical and concrete recommendations to help them and their family focus on strengths in order to overcome their
specific set of challenges
Dr. Kugel received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from the University of Hartford. Dr. Kugel received extensive clinical training including the Long Island
Jewish Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College-New York Presbyterian Hospital. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Icahn School of Medicine-Mount Sinai Hospital and postdoctoral fellowship
at the JFK-Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Kugel’s research interests include traumatic brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases.
Dr. Yelena Goldin Frazier, PhD, ABPP-CN is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist specializing in lifespan neuropsychology and the Chief Clinical Neuropsychology Officer of Curect Neuropsychology of New
York.
Dr. Goldin Frazier specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation of individuals with individuals with a wide range of neurological and cognitive disorders, including dementias, movement
disorders, traumatic brain injury, stroke, epilepsy, as well as psychological disorders that impact cognition. Dr. Goldin Frazier adopts an individualized flexible approach to ensure that each client’s needs
and concerns are optimally addressed. All clients receive a detailed comprehensive written evaluation report of their neurocognitive, emotional, and/or academic functioning, and specific recommendations to enhance
functioning and overall quality of life for clients and their families.
Dr. Goldin Frazier received her doctoral in Clinical Neuropsychology, with specialization in neuropsychology and health psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology/Albert Einstein College
of Medicine, where she received additional specialized training in geropsychology. Dr. Goldin completed her fellowship in clinical neuropsychology and rehabilitation at Mount Sinai School of Medicine/Icahn School
of Medicine. Prior to joining our team, she worked at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute in Edison, New Jersey for over 10 years, where she served as Senior Neuropsychologist, Director of Training, and Director
of Traumatic Brain Injury Model System, and was Principal Investigator on federally funded grants. Dr. Goldin’s research interests include aging, traumatic brain injury, and sex/gender issues. She has presented
at national and international conferences and congressional hearings and holds several leadership positions in professional organizations.
Dr. Savidge understands patients’ concerns, conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations, and discusses their goals to prepare individualized treatment plans. She is committed to helping everyone overcome challenges and achieve their desired lives.
Dr. Savidge earned her bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University and her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Hartford. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Miami-Dade County and her postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Easter Seals Capital Region and Eastern Connecticut. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and Connecticut Psychological Association.
Dr. Parfene, PsyD values the uniqueness of each patient's situation and provides detailed comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and functional recommendations to individuals with a wide range of neurological and cognitive disorders, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementias, movement disorders, epilepsy, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental and/or acquired neurocognitive disorders, as well as psychological disorders that impact cognition.
Dr. Parfene, PsyD obtained her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with specialization in Neuropsychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. She completed her predoctoral clinical training in both outpatient and inpatient settings at major medical centers / medical school affiliates including Emory University School of Medicine/Center for Rehabilitation Medicine, Shepherd Medical Center, Mt. Sinai Hospital, and a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at NY Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, serving as an inpatient provider in both Psychiatry and Neurorehabilitation Medicine departments. Prior to joining our practice, she worked for several years as an inpatient Neuropsychologist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC. In addition to her clinical work, she has been involved in research projects and published and presented at national and international conferences on a variety of topics within the field of neuropsychology including TBI, stroke, and social cognition, and neuropsychiatric illness. Her clinical interests include neuropsychological assessment, outcome/recovery after neurological injury, and neuropsychiatric dysfunction.
Dr. Krystel Salandanan, PsyD specializes in the neuropsychological assessment of children and adults. Dr. Salandanan’s clinical interests include neurodevelopmental disorders, acquired brain injury, pain management, mood disorders, personality disorders, and chronic disease management. Employing a multicultural lens, Dr. Salandanan delivers comprehensive neuropsychological, developmental, and educational assessments framing a client’s neurocognitive functions within their biological, environmental, social, cultural, historical, and psychological context.
Dr. Salandanan earned two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and Sociology from the University of Washington. She subsequently went on to earn a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute with a dissertation focused on optimizing the clinical training of psychological providers. Dr. Salandanan completed her Pre-Doctoral training at the Jacobi Medical Center with rotations in Medical Rehabilitation, Pediatric Neuropsychology. Dr. Salandanan completed her Postdoctoral Training at CHE Behavioral Health Services, focused on providing psychotherapy and cognitive remediation therapy to geriatric clients. Dr. Salandanan is currently an Associate Professor at John Jay College and a Clinical Supervisor at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She also serves as the mentorship coordinator for the Asian American Psychological Association – Division on Filipinx Americans.
Dr. Calderón specializes in the neuropsychological evaluation of children, adolescents, and adults who present with co-occurring neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and/or medical conditions and focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of disruptions to their learning, work, and daily lives. She offers individuals collaborative, compassionate, client-centered evaluations through a culturally informed and developmental framework. By evaluating all aspects of an individual’s neurocognitive, social, and emotional functioning, she develops individualized and effective recommendations to target areas of growth.
Dr. Calderón also provides psychotherapy to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and
stress. She strives to provide a safe and nurturing environment for clients so they can work through life transitions and stressors to begin the healing process together. As a Spanish speaker and Latina, she has lived experiences and is passionate about helping clients work through cultural and societal issues that impact their mental health. She also specializes in mind/body care, helping professionals with work culture and burnout, and navigating through life transitions. She affirms all genders, races, sexualities, and ethnicities.
Dr. Calderón received her doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from Nova Southeastern University. During her graduate training, she focused her clinical work on
neuropsychological evaluations across the lifespan of individuals with complex developmental and
neuromedical presentations within the rehabilitation and outpatient settings. Dr. Calderón completed her pre-doctoral internship in clinical neuropsychology at Hamilton Health Sciences–Acquired Brain Injury Program, with a focus on assessment and treatment in a rehabilitation setting. Following her doctoral training, she completed a fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology and was employed as an Assistant Professor of Medical Psychology at the Promise Clinic and Columbia Doctors at CUIMC/New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Stefanie Vuotto, PhD is a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Vuotto uses an integrative therapeutic approach, blending aspects of cognitive-behavioral,
psychodynamic, humanistic, and narrative therapy techniques in tailoring treatment to our clients’ needs. Her background in developmental psychology informs a multifactorial approach to treatment, which considers
social-emotional, cognitive, and physical aspects of behavioral problems in multi-layered contexts. Her clients are empowered to recognize that they are not passive recipients of the environment, but rather,
have the ability to respond to events in their lives in more adaptive ways through their own appraisals. Dr. Vuotto uses evidence-based treatments that are informed by current research and clinical, developmental,
and neuropsychology.
Dr. Vuotto earned her Masters Degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University and her PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology from Fordham University, with a focus on child development.
She completed her pre-doctoral training at Covenant House New York where she worked with a clinical population of adolescents and young adults in crisis, and completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at
St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital where she worked with child, young adult, and adult survivors of childhood cancer. A professor of Child/Developmental Psychology at the College of Mount Saint Vincent,
Dr. Vuotto has published multiple articles and presented at numerous academic conferences on her research examining the impact of early-life adversity on psychosocial adjustment and neuropsychological outcomes.
In her clinical work, Dr. Vuotto has worked with children, adolescents and young adults with a range of cognitive, developmental and social-emotional and behavioral problems.

She has published in traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic headache, and neuropsychological rehabilitation and has presented at national and local conferences.
